He will soon be old enough that in a year or so we will be able to break out the paints and see what he is like using them on the Coloring Pages. I know he will love this although I am already nervous at the idea of the chaos it could make! I am sure his eyes will go wide the first time I mix two colors together to make a brand new one, such as red and yellow combining to make orange. It is so rewarding to see his progress over time as he learns without knowing he is doing so. I can really see how his ability to concentrate has improved. Just like reading stories in picture/illustrated books with their children, parents often use coloring pages to teach children and stretch their imagination. Standard coloring pages provide outlines within which children can color, but some art educators believe that free-form pages are an even better tool. A good example of these coloring books can be found at CreativeColoringBooks. The contribution of bringing far more diversity to the coloring sheets and pages, has been made by the computer and the internet, both have emerged as a greater generator - that has opened an entirely new world of coloring and arena of drawing. Parents make very sizable livings creating, drawing and coloring images for computer animation including video games, movies, commercials and items most parents would never consider, such as some high-quality information websites. These sites are available as a full-fledged career for adults, it is no wonder that the tools and formats employed in this style of artwork have carried down to kids, although on a smaller scale. Older children may become bored with coloring and prefer to create their own images. This is a natural progression, and one parents should welcome. Nevertheless, coloring does have a place in child development and can become part of his or her daily routine. Some children may have difficulty expressing themselves; however, as they continue to be creative they will often start to open up more readily. Colouring is a great way to express themselves and their ideas, particularly if they have problems they do not know how to cope with. It is used to bring subconscious thoughts to the surface and help children to understand them. You might not realise it yet you are helping the environment as you do not need paper to draw and colour images.
